Mark Rose and Bob Nanna have been making music for the past 20+ years. When they decided to create a website to help connect with fans to commission songs from them, they decided to create a one-of-a-kind network where any artist can have a profile.

Downwrite was launched in February of 2013 with 2 artists, Mark & Bob, and now has over 30 – completing over 200 custom songs for fans. Soon Downwrite will be open for all artists to get onboard.

The idea is simple: create an organized and easy way for anyone to hire an artist to write custom-inspired songs for gifts, personal playlists, events, and beyond, while ensuring the songwriters are fully compensated and credited. Regardless of whether your interests lie in acoustic, indie, R&B, country, folk, electronic, ambient, pop punk, post rock, piano pop, or any other obscure subgenre, Downwrite has someone who can accommodate. The website currently maintains a roster of 30 artists – all available for songwriting hire – some of which include Matt Pryor (The Get Up Kids), William Beckett (The Academy Is…), Carly Comando (Slingshot Dakota), Josh Berwanger (The Anniversary), Lindsay Minton (Football, etc.) Steve Soboslai (Punchline), Shane Henderson (Valencia), and several other notable names from various backgrounds.

Artists are currently handpicked for the site, and open submissions will be available starting in mid 2014. For any further inquiries about Downwrite, get in contact by sending an email to info@downwrite.com.
