I by The Dirty Clergy

Winfield, Alabama-based indie garage rock band The Dirty Clergy has released a new video for their track “I,” which they premiered through AXS recently. “I” appears on their recently released CD, Rattlesnake.

Songwriter & guitarist Brian Manasco had this to say about the track:

“The song ‘I’ came pretty naturally. It’s about someone that lives a secluded life. Someone that, by their standards, is ‘normal.’ However, for whatever reason, isn’t really accepted into society. So, from living this isolated life, their mind starts to imagine things that really aren’t there and create a world for that person to live in.”

The Dirty Clergy has been drawing comparisons to greats such as Alice Cooper, T. Rex, Muse and even Cream, the band’s genre-blending sound has its roots firmly planted in an era when rock and roll was at the forefront of music.
