Noah Cyrus To Play TD Garden in Boston This Weekend

Singer Noah Cyrus is breezing through Boston tonight for two dates at the TD Garden in support of Katy Perry, and will continue on tour with Perry through November 1st.

Cyrus says: “I’ve loved Katy since I was a little girl and I can’t thank her enough for giving me this incredible opportunity. Let’s hope I don’t’ f*** it up!”

We were lucky to sit down with her to ask her a few questions, and we’ll be covering her set tonight, so stay tuned for some pictures of the show.

For those who may not be familiar, please tell us about your music: the type of music you play, where you are from, and how you got started?

My music has more of an edge to it. My idea of being a pop star isn’t exactly what what most people think of when they hear the word “pop star.”  I’ve always been that pop girl that likes a dark twist to it and something a little more real that captures more emotion, if that makes sense.

In which ways do you enjoy interacting with fans (i.e.: social media, back stage, on the street), and do you find that this is an important piece of your career?

I think being with fans is one of the most important things. Being able to communicate with my fans directly and through music is so important to me.

I love to hear this. Fans love to feel special, and it’s always great to hear when artists love to interact and communicate with their fans.

What do you find to be your greatest struggle when it comes to the music business?

Making a name for myself beyond what my family has accomplished. I love everything they’ve done, but making my own mark is an additional challenge.

If you could only play ONE of your songs for the rest of your career, which one would it be?

Out of the songs I have out right now, I’d prefer to play my current single, “Again”  for the rest of my life.

Outside of music, what do you like to do that you feel contributes to the creativity that you tap into for your music?

For me, being able to put creativity into my music, I need to live my normal life. I can’t be creative without living. Just being me, breathing every day and waking up.

Get it, girl!
