Secure by Ski Lodge

New from New York City-based indie dream-pop band Ski Lodge have release their new track called “Secure,” a track that would fit nicely into any John Waters movie from the 80’s. Brooklyn Vegan, who premiered the track, noted that it could easily appear in “Pretty In Pink,” and I whole-heartedly agree. They’ve got a sound that is a little different than what you may be hearing on mainstream radio, and it’s refreshing. More of this, please.

When talking about the track lead singer Andrew Marr says, “This song for me is a about internal struggle and uncertainty and also about trying to convince someone else that there’s something between you and that person, even though both of you don’t want to acknowledge it, I wanted it to feel like a pop song but also have the production and instrumentation make it feel dark and restless.”
