Halfway by Kate Usher & the Sturdy Souls

Long Island, NY-based indie soul-pop band Kate Usher & the Sturdy Souls are proud to release their newest video for their track “Halfway,” which should appear on their upcoming debut EP Circles, due out May 18th.

“‘Halfway’ was shot on the south fork of Long Island, NY, and captures the beauty of spring’s arrival. It’s a perfect primer for the warmer weather that we’re heading too and a sweet companion to The Sturdy Souls’ laid-back beach groove.”

Finally, spring has arrived! All it took was this video to be released!

This is what the band had to say about the video:

“We filmed this entire music video in Montauk, New York. This place we are lucky to call home has an indistinct attraction to it. Maybe it is the beautiful geography, or it’s rich history or just the small-town get to know everybody kind of vibe but even after traveling halfway around the world I always find myself coming back here. It only seemed right that our debut music video is filmed here. Each location holds a special place in my past.”

They’ve released a great track, with smooth vocals and a stunning rhythm section which really shines with the saxophone solo towards the end of the track. Looking forward to hearing more from Kate Usher & the Sturdy Souls!

Check out the video and let us know what you think!
