Nerve by Brandon Prinzing & The Old Revival

Give a listen to the brand new track from Bend, OR-based indie folk-rock band Brandon Prinzing & The Old Revival called “Nerve,” a track from their upcoming debut release, Hear This. Look for Hear This to drop in October.

“At one point, I had finished writing the whole song, but I was stuck on the bridge, and I took a break and went to a show to clear my head.  As I sat out back talking to a few people on the smoking patio, I looked around and realized all these indie hipster people were doing was talking shit on every band, musician or artist they deemed “not cool enough”.  “He only plays three chords” or “that band is the same as all the rest” and so on and so on.  I wrote the bridge after I walked out and sat in my car.

“A cigarette analytic, it must get cold when they reach out”

“The pessimists and the cynics, well they can bitch but we get loud”

It’s how I felt then, and how I feel now.  The punk rock and rock n’ roll I grew up on showed me that their opinion is the least important.”   ––   Brandon Prinzing

I love what Brandon says about this track – there is FAR too much judgment and negativity out there, let’s just get out there and enjoy the music, shall we? Stop tearing each other down, it’s getting old. I’ll jump off my soapbox now.

Keep putting out the great work, gents!
