Video Life by Sean Morales

Check out the new track from Austin-based singer-songwriter Sean Morales called “Video Life.” If the name sounds familiar, you may be familiar with Morales from the band he normally plays bass for, James Arthur’s Manhunt. “Video Life” kicks off the start of his solo career, and is the first single from his upcoming EP Call It In, dropping January 12th.

“Sean Morales is a family man from Austin by way of Norfolk, VA. He began writing the songs for Call It In while living alone in Houston, then started shaping the songs with wife and drummer, Erica Barton, after moving back to Austin. Sean then reached out to Jazz-bent guitarist Jonathan Horne (The Young Mothers, Ichi Ni San Shi, Knest) and several friends from the Austin rock underground, including Orville Neely (OBN IIIs), Brian Schmitz  (The Golden Boys), and James Arthur (Jame Arthur’s Manhunt, the blistering psych-damaged band Sean regularly plays bass in). The recording was expertly helmed by Stuart Sikes (The White Stripes, Cat Power, and Loretta Lynn).”

Not a bad debut, sir, not a bad debut at all. Loving this first track, and looking forward to hearing what else Morales has in store for us.
